  • Loving Other People is the Only Law By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof.Loving other people could be said to be the only law as it translates into loving yourself in the true sense of the word.

The Holy Bible, Romans 13: 8-10 buttresses this, ''Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandments, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.''

We must all realize that this is the fundamental purpose for which religion is designed by God as an institution where human beings learn how to build their faith and by extension establish a natural synergy of God/man relation.

It is pertinent for every one of us, therefore, to see love as a sacred entity beyond the erotic state of romance between a man and woman.

    Love 1

The Holy Quran 41: 33-36 exemplifies the various processes of applying love to suppress all forms of disharmony or discord.

''Nor can goodness and evil be equal. Repel evil with what is better(love): Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! And no one will be granted such goodness, except those who exercise patience and self-restraint-none but persons of the greatest good fortune and if at any time an incitement to discord is made to thee Satan, seek refuge in Allah, He is the one who hears and knows all things.''

Love is the coordinating node for the network of all the laws.

It is the backbone of every standing body as it holds intact the skeletal frames. Without love, man will be disillusioned into the ocean of sadness, cruelty, savagery, and hatred.

Love is equally fundamental to keeping, maintaining, and sustaining a happy home for a successful child rearing and natural nurturing of our children.

    Love, don't hate.

  • Beware of False Teachers by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof. The religious sector no longer reforms but dehumanizes the adherents and the society because of the various abuses on the scripture and the houses of God themselves by religious leaders, while the political space has been overwhelmed by products of false teachers.

The Holy Quran describes them in 10 : 36 thus, ‘’ But most of them follow nothing but conjecture : truly conjecture can be of no avail against Truth, verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.’’

The bestiality in all spheres of human endeavor is best describe in the Holy Quran 25 : 44, ‘’Thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand ? They are only like cattle,-Nay they are farther astray from the way.’’

In the same vein the Holy Bible in 2 Peter 2 : 1–3 throws more light, ‘’

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.’’

    False 3

A bad attitude usually results in several untold situations. This is aptly expressed in the Holy Quran 4–50–52, ‘’Behold ! How they invent a lie against Allah ! But that, by itself is a manifest sin ! Has thou not turn they thought to those who are given a portion of the Book ? They instead will live in Sorcery and Tagut and say to the Unbelievers that they are better guided in the right way than the believers ! The are men who Allah hath cursed : and those whom Allah hath cursed, thou wilt find have no one to help.’’

Let us from today learn and determine how to be change agents. Be reformed by your faith for you to be able to transform the already decayed society for good. Don’t be a barrier to development and beware of false teachers.

  • The Standard of Learning

A moderate standard of learning must include the ability of a child to be able to spell ordinary words, correctly to write legibly and intelligently, to make out or check a common bill, to have sufficient geographical knowledge to know the position of the countries of the world and above all to be sufficiently acquainted with the Scriptures.

In every part of Nigeria today, most children leave school without attaining these standards.

The present system of education at all levels of government is not only bad for the children but also for the teachers. The teaching profession has been debased by the government and the devices of the teachers.

    Education 6

Parents have a major duty to their children, but most parents habitually neglect this major duty.

Untrained teachers and bad methods of teaching, projects by contractors that were not inspected with adequate motive, un-revised or ill-revised policies and the complete absence of all organizations of schools in relation to one another constitute an unspecified number of evils of public and private schools in Nigeria.

The allocations in the budgets of the Federal and State Government over the years to the education sector has had little or no impact on the sector.

  • Man and Tax by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof. The prophetic statement of Jesus Christ that we should give onto Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar and onto God what belongs to God. This is a very convincing explanation of the concept of tax.
In the religious circles, although grossly abused when accrued wealth from tax is not directed towards the development of the entire system of the contributors, but rather into the pockets of the founder.
The concept of tax could be described as a compulsory contribution levied upon persons, property, or business for the support of the government as an important source for Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) to be able to meet up with the major objectives and focus of the prepared budget to run the vital administrative and management demand of governance.
It is imperative for all and sundry to ensure they carry out their civic responsibilities to ensure that the government is not short of funds to provide the basic needs of the people.

    Tax 1
In the same vein, if the government fails to provide for the people, there would be reactionary activities by the people.
A comparative analysis of the developed world and Africa exposes the lukewarm attitude of the people in the payment of taxes to the government. This is due to the endemic corruption which has characterized governance in Africa.
The issue of corruption, therefore,  must be tackled by every available means to create space for good governance and development.
Taxes that are paid in an environment of transparency and accountability will meet up with the trust of the people to willingly get set to pay their dues or taxes without compulsion, threats, or intimidation.

  • The Dissemination of Knowledge

47892982711 2c0fbeff1dIn this dispensation of insecurity and violent crimes in Nigeria, the urgent need for undiluted news and commentaries for the people cannot be overemphasized.

However, the focus of most of the outlets owned by non-professionals revolves around pecuniary, political and self-driven interests.

This has resulted in the dissemination of outright falsehood,half-truths and sponsored propaganda.

Sadly,a sizable number of professionals have made patronage their guiding lights, even as mediocrity and quackery have now taken over the media space.

In Victorian Britain,The Morning Post came into being in 1772 while the Times in 1785,during the period the government launched a campaign of restriction on the Press which resulted in the emergence of six notorious Acts in 1819.

William Cobbett published the Political Register and later on Two Penny Trash which infringed the provisions of the publications Act of 1819.

Wooller published The Black Dwarf,a miner’s newspaper in 1817. John Gast owned The Gorgon, the First Trade Union newspaper in 1818, while Richard Carlile was responsible for The Republican.

Carlile had several brushes with the government.

There was also Hetherington, who published Poor Man’s Guardian on July 9, 1831. The Guardian also had a prolonged brush with government.

Of worry is the fact that those who lack knowledge are daily on the increase in Nigeria, while the government has been relentless in the application of covert and overt methods in suppressing the flow of knowledge and information to the curious population.

  • Live Godly Lives-Prof.Olagoke to Nigerians

Prof. The Founder,Spiritual Head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen-in-Isalm Worldwide, Prof.Sabitu Olagoke has called on Nigerians to cultivate lives revolving around Godliness and spirituality.

Prof.Olagoke made this call recently while delivering a lecture titled,’’ASCENSION PARADOX OF THE SOCIO-SPIRITUAL ESSENCE OF MANKIND'', in an event to mark his 65th birthday in Ibadan, Nigeria.

‘’What does it benefit a man that gains the whole world but loses his life of spirituality- a ticket to enter through the narrow gate into paradise or Jannat. This is the practice of God, the almighty Allah that we will not find changing(Q 48 Vs. 23). Is this not a a paradox of our condescension to the mother earth and ascension to heaven like the water will fall to form a lake and vaporize to form another cloud of rain leaving the sediments of impurities behind. Therefore, live a Godly life full of spiritual aura,’’Prof.Olagoke concluded.

In a related development, Prof.Olagoke has made a passionate appeal to all the descendants of the Aare Alasa compound,Ojaba, Ibadan, Oyo state to support and cooperate with with him in the task of uplifting the dynasty.

Prof.Olagoke made this appeal on Monday during his installation ceremony as the Mogaji Aare Alasa Dynasty in Ibadan, Nigeria.

‘’It is important that I need the support and cooperation of every person(Q3 Vs.81) dead or alive, young and old to transform Aare Alasa compound into befitting modern day quality and standard setting on the platform of wellness and welfarism. All hands must be on deck,’’Prof.Olagoke stated.

  • Poverty Stricken Nigerians and $1 billion

Poverty 1The Poor Report published in 1834 outlined the degradation and inefficiency of the Speenham system that had flourished across England for almost 40 years.
The system encouraged demoralization, rude behavior, laziness, thriftlessness, and immorality of the poor.
The lack of centralization, dependence on the parish initiative, and the absence of a responsive and responsible authority weakened the system.
The resultant administrative anarchy gave rise to the emergence of several petty interests trailed by corruption. Poor relief was a disservice to the poor, a drain on the rich, and a threat to the government.
The Poor Law Amendment Act of August 14, 1834, made no difference but established administrative machinery, giving prominence to three remote impersonal  Commissioners in London. Their activities resulted in despondency, disillusionment, and anger among the majority poor.
In present-day Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian  Affairs and Disaster Management claims that the Federal Government spends$ 1 billion on the poor annually.
This claim is not only questionable but ridiculous considering the hungry and poverty-stricken looks of millions of sickly, infirm, orphaned, able-bodied, and disabled Nigerians. These Nigerians who are everywhere in the Nigerian space, now believe that the government is not only deceitful but insincere.

  • Don't Condemn Other People By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof.Mankind is yet to appreciate that God the almighty is the God of varieties and diversities.

We, must, therefore, realize that the religious goal is to reform, and strengthen us into unity, while the differences in ethnicity, tribes, and dialects are for the purpose of identification only and never to stigmatize and discriminate among one another.

The Holy Quran 45: 8-9 refers, '' He hears the Signs of Allah rehashed to him, ye is obstinate and lofty as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a chastisement Grievous! And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there would be a humiliating chastisement.''

The Holy Bible, Romans 14: 1-4 states, ''

1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.''

To keep the peace we must display a high level of tolerance and rich knowledge about the faith of other people, to avoid condemning others blindly.CritThe Holy Quran 16: 125 refers, '' Invite all to the Way of the Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His path and how to receive guidance.''

Let us tolerate one another and jointly work for enduring peace.

  • Be careful about making Promises by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof. The world will know peace and humanity will no longer be at war when we put into practice our knowledge about respect for the fundamental human rights, of others including women's rights, fulfillment of promises, walking the talk of the oath taken in the transaction as well as the assumption of responsibilities and finally, when we stand by the covenant we made most especially with God the almighty.

We, therefore need to be careful when making promises.

The Holy Bible, Ecclesiastes 5: 1-5 warns us against the breaking of promises. ''

1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God and be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.''

    Promise

In the same manner, the Holy Quran warns vehemently, most especially on the issue of the covenant which must be made on the basis of goodness only. The Holy Quran 16: 91 refers, ''Fulfill the covenant of Allah when ye have entered into it and break not your oath after ye have confirmed them: Indeed ye have made Allah your surety; for Allah knoweth all the ye do.''

Our good disposition towards others is what our creator demands.

The Holy Bible, Ecclesiastes 5: 5- 7, '' 5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou, God.''

The Holy Quran, therefore, admonishes us in 16: 90 to be responsible in contributions to the growth and development of the people and the society as well.

''Allah commands justice, the doing of good and giving to kith and kin and He forbids all indecent deeds, evil and rebellion: He instructs you that ye may receive admonition.''

Remember that knowledge without the fear of God is empty, life without wisdom is meaningless and a system is driven without the divine instinct would be stagnant. All these qualities and virtues were expected to be worked on to be able to have exemplary lifestyles. Be wise.

  • Former West Hazleton Police Chief Sentenced To Two Months’ Imprisonment For Civil Rights Violation

                                                                                                  Press Release

WILKES-BARRE- The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that Brian Buglio, age 46, of Lattimer Mines, Pennsylvania, was sentenced by United States Magistrate Judge Joseph F. Saporito, Jr., to two months of imprisonment and a one-year term of supervised release that includes four months of home confinement.

According to Acting United States Bruce D. Brandler, Buglio, the former Chief of Police for the West Hazleton Police Department, pleaded guilty to a deprivation of civil rights, after he threatened a private citizen with felony criminal charges, in retaliation for social media posts created by the private citizen that were critical of Buglio and of the West Hazleton Police Department.

In pronouncing the sentence, Judge Saporito deemed Buglio’s actions an “abuse of power” when he threatened to use the criminal justice system to further his own personal interests.  In addition to the term of imprisonment and supervised release, Judge Saporito also ordered Buglio to pay a $5,000 fine.

The case was investigated by the Scranton Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Public Corruption Task Force, which consists of members of the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, and federal agents from the FBI and Internal Revenue Service.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Phillip J. Caraballo prosecuted the case.

  • Education by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof.Without education, the whole world would have remained static in terms of civilization and development.
Unfortunately for human beings, we fail most of the time to act within the limits of the positive values for knowledge application. This is the reason for the destruction of what has been built over time.
Education, therefore, must be seen within the perspective of knowledge acquisition, wisdom for experience, and the power of a discerning mind to be able to be all-encompassing in taking the right decisions that would be accurate and precise at all times.
In the area of teaching education, the emphasis must be on the positive mindset to be able to bring out the best in the learners so that they would be positive change agents, on the issues of affecting or operating the system on the basis of justice and equity to meet up with the demands of human needs as an essential value of education if and only if we want peace, development alongside safety and security valves for the regulation and control at a sustainable level.

    Education 5
Education must be perceived as the process of facilitating learning or the acquisition of knowledge through skills on values, morals, beliefs, and habits.
Educational methods must include teaching, preaching, sermon, training, storytelling, discussion, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, and directed research to manage today for a better tomorrow against all odds.
The educational domains must be explored to be able to achieve a functional education in the graduates.
Graduates must also possess the confidence, self-esteem, and positive mental attitude to be able to carry responsibilities independently to the point of engaging in the critical evaluation of issues to arrive at accurate decisions.
Furthermore, education must be adequately funded to achieve satisfactory results at all levels.
Above all, education is systematic development or training of the mind, capabilities, or character through a systematic instructional process. It is an essential tool to make every sub-system to be functional for the dynamics of the system.

  • Faith and Wisdom by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof.Three things stand out in the life of every man or woman-knowledge, wisdom, and the power of a discerning mind or the right inspiration from God for any faith to be able to stand the test time.

However, faith is meaningless without hope, which is a function of just worship.

For it to be meaningful, they must exist and operate in an environment of love. Faith and wisdom, therefore, have a very high correlation coefficient.

The Holy Bible, James 1: 2-8 sermonizes on this: ''tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

    2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

8A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.''

Faith cannot stand, therefore, without a high sense of comprehension of the words of God to the level of ease of application that would suit the true-life situation. This cannot be sustainable except we decide to live exemplary lifestyles by been scripture compliant. The Holy Quran, therefore, warns us against losing the sense of appreciation through unwarranted waywardness and frivolities in living our lives because this will not show any sign of wisdom in us.

    Wisdom

The Holy Quran 2: 269 refers, ''He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth ; and he or she to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will receive admonition.''

Let us, therefore, show gratitude and wisdom by making a revival of integrity into our cultural psyche, restoration of ethical practices in our educational system, and the reawakening of living by the scripture in our religious practice.

Avoid destructive tendencies and also shun all acts capable of destabilizing the nation. Exhibit wisdom as the pillar for driving faith.

  • Between Wool and Crude Oil

Economy 1Woolen manufacture was England’s most prominent industry in 1750,while crude oil has been Nigeria’s major income earner for several years.
Stakeholders in the wool industry were based in the West Riding of Yorkshire, here cloths of medium quality were made, In East Anglia, here coarser fustian were produced and in South west of England, where fine and good quality cloth was made.

Woolen cloth was a major export product and as a result the industry was closely regulated.
Production was still in the hands of small masters in the West Riding and East Anglia.
The export price of cloth was fixed as far back as the 10th century, and extraordinary steps were taken to disallow the export of the raw wool.
As the market for woolen cloth expanded, the ownership of capital and the control of credit gained prominence.
The cottage workers were financially incapable of purchasing large quantity of raw materials neither could they afford to sell the finished product on creditor source for market outside their homes. This brought about a more advanced form of capitalism which eventually replaced the cottage industry.

In Nigeria today, the main export is crude oil and Those-in-Charge,their agents, proxies and cronies dictate happenings in the oil industry with impunity.

Interestingly, oil bunkering and smuggling is the order of the day and their stock in trade.

In addition, those with the power and means own crude oil refining companies abroad. Crude oil exported abroad for refining, are brought back in refined form as Petroleum Motor Spirit(PMS) for sale to unsuspecting Nigerians.

The unimpressive state of the economy,is perhaps, a sad reflection of the domestic and foreign interests the present administration represents.

  • Land, Houses and a Compromised System

Free 4In 1801,1836 and 1854, the General Enclosure Acts were passed.
The General Enclosure Act of 1845 superseded the Parliamentary committee which examined Enclosure Bills by Enclosure Commissioners, who instead of sitting at Westminister, moved to the scene.

The Enclosure Commissioner presented their findings to Parliament in the form of GeneralBill for passage into law.
The Squire expanded his holdings and expanded to the land of ejected tenants, in addition to common land and waste, while the larger freeholders held on to their claims and increased their holdings.
But this, was, however, not the case for smaller freeholders.
An Enclosure Bill was not enough to drive a freeholder off the land because he had legal claims to his holding.
Aspects of the Enclosure which negatively affected the freeholder include:  He had to pay his share of the expenses of the enclosure, which was an expensive process, varying from about 200 Pounds to nearly 500 Pounds. If unable to pay, then he had to sell off the plot of land awarded to him. If he survived, he had to pay for the hedges and fences which every owner was compelled to make round the new fields. If he could not do this, the land would be sold or mortgaged.
A number of the freeholders became tenant farmers, renting lands instead of farming their own.
Most were compelled by economic difficulties to do this,  a few thought it profitable to sell their smallholding and rent a large acreage, where rationalized methods could be practiced more economically. Others who sold out abandoned the countryside and channeled the proceeds of the sale into industrial ventures.
The remaining left opted for none of the above alternatives and was compelled to work as laborers on the lands they had once owned or as ''lands'' in one of the new factories.
The foregoing in addition to the infringement of the rights of cottagers and squatters based on customs and the cutting short of the sources of livelihood of people who depended on the open-field village resulted in resistance and violence.
The ruling class rode roughshod of the peasants.
Laws at this period, favored the ruling class, while the living conditions of the farm laborers deteriorated rapidly.
Several died out of starvation and the draconian laws of this period. Game laws favored the ruling class and poaching was an offense with very inhuman punishment, even though the unemployed, agricultural laborers, miners, and ribbon weavers depended on poaching for survival.
Between 1799 and 1800, influenced by the Enclosure Act and industrialization, destitution had become a challenge of dangerous dimension.
Indeed, the Poor Law, the Law of Settlement, the Game Laws, and the Enclosure Laws, all contributed greatly to the impoverishment of the people who constituted the majority.
Public attention was attracted to the predicament of the poor by humanity and public interest.
In Nigeria, today, land and property owners have been and are still been dispossessed of their land and houses by Those-in-Charge, their agents, proxies, and fronts, with the desperate collaboration of a heavily compromised legal and law enforcement system.

This disclosure was made by Police Public Relations Officer,The Uganda Police has declared that the deployment of senior police officers shall be determined by their performances in the ongoing anti-terrorism training program.
This disclosure was made by Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Mr. Fred Enanga.

“It is not going to be automatic that everyone will go back to where he or she was. Their deployment is going to be based on their performance during training. This will be concluded by the end of two weeks,” the PPRO stated.

A total of  170 District/Division Police Commanders(DPC) on the completion of  a three months refresher course last week were been sent on two weeks leave.

The late Deputy Inspector General of Police Lt Gen Paul Lokech had sent the commanders to Olilim Counter-Terrorism Police Training School in Katakwi district in May to equip them with new skills in observing human rights during their day-to-day operations, swifter response to emergencies and building community policing.

However, But before their departure, Lokech had ordered them to hand over their offices to Officers In-charge of the various stations, who, from the time were to serve as acting DPCs.

Some of the DPCs had already been replaced in the reshuffle issued out by Lokech two weeks before his death
. The decision to retrain DPCs was concluded during a meeting with DPCs and President Yoweri Museveni at Entebbe State House in April. Museveni reportedly raised a number of issues that rotated around chaotic scenes registered during political party primaries and general elections.

The issues highlighted included lack of intelligence gathering techniques which saw some political groups successfully organize protests, failure to brief juniors on operation procedures which saw them shooting and injuring civilians during the election period while other DPCs were accused of hobnobbing with groups evicting people.

President Yoweri Museveni had earlier on ordered the Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola to draft new operation rules and ensure they are shared with each policeman. Ochola came up with 15 Standard Operating Procedures to address the gaps, and printed 50.000 copies of revised SOPs which were shared with every police officer.

Police commanders and their juniors were advised to ensure strict adherence to the SOPs in order to minimize operational mistakes and further enable police officers to enforce law and order, to the expectations of the public they serve.

  • Divine Intervention by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

DownloadThere are three major sources of inspiration which generally we confuse to be the same.
Religious adherents believe in the supreme being, rather than through intermediaries to the almighty God.
Adherents, therefore, believe in their creator for divine guidance and direction.
The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 6: 4-6, Mark 12: 29-30, and the Holy Quran 16: 51-52 declare God as authoritative and unquestionable with whom believers must not associate with any idols god or goddess, so as not to threaten His oneness in our beliefs.
Divine intervention has a universal concept on the issue of creation, sustenance, death, and resurrection of every human.
Conditionally, therefore, at micro and macro, finite and infinite dimensions of existence on earth and other members of the galaxies, divine intervention is a necessity to keep the peace regarded as intra, for the tranquility of the mind and inter for an interpersonal relationship of sociological importance.
Worshipping God fervently is not negotiable if an individual or a nation wants their activities to be divinely controlled and regulated.
The historical record of the Israelis is a classical example of how we can appreciate the meaning of divine intervention and the consequences associated with deviation from the stipulated righteous path laid down by God.
The Israelites were fortified against their enemies when they were on the right path of righteousness, but they were sold out to their enemies when they resorted to idol worship.

    Divine 1
Another example is that of Elijah, who was highly fortified by God against King Ahab and Jezebel his wife as well as the false prophets of Baal. He singlehandedly with all authority declared that there would be no rain for three years and it was so.
In the same vein, the war of Badru with 313 inexperienced men win the war against 1,000 well-trained horsemen employed by the enemies to crush Islam under the Hooly Prophet Muhammad, although they nearly lost. When they went for the war of Uhud, in confrontation with supposedly poor enemies acts of deceit, apostasy, and disloyalty to the Prophet were prominent.
When nations, therefore, do things accordingly, they are better off in the achievement of peace and development, even though they may not profess God, God loves those who are orderly and living without cheating on others. This observation brings us to the fact that the degree of religiosity to measure the seriousness of the people on the issue of God and Godliness is never rated through population density or the number of houses of God but by the number of adherents who are scripture compliant.
Nations that profess religion without their people been scripture compliant will continue to be bereft of divine intervention because we cannot deceive God, Who believes in quality, standard, and merit.
In conclusion, divine intervention is God's interference or decisive role to correct a bad or worrisome situation. Spiritual security is what we need most to resolve all conflicts.

  • The Unwritten Policy

LandThe value of land in England had political, social and economic undertones.

Land was mandatory prerequisite for election into Parliament, while in the counties, was a requirement for the right to vote.

During this period, the landed class had political power and interestingly, Parliament was controlled by landowners.

Furthermore,in the local sphere, the Justice of Peace-the squire-was the most important personality. He was the largest landowner in the village.

As Magistrate and leader of the local society,he combined political and social power.

In addition, the owner of the land made profits by selling its produce or leasing the land for high rents to tenant farmers.

    Land 2

The foregoing resulted in the the emergence of wealthy traders, who bought land as investments which was converted as a means to political power and social ostentation.

The House of Commons, influenced by a few big landowners, sponsored bills which became laws.

These laws were against the wishes of a large number of small farmers.

Among these bills that were passed into law,was the Bill of Enclosure

The economically marginalized landowners had inadequate means toward off the desperation and determination of their more substantial neighbors to enclose the land.

In Nigeria today, land grabbing and dubious estate development by all available means is an unwritten policy by Those-in-Charge at all levels of Government.

Private properties have been annexed, structures demolished and alternative ones erected in a amazing time frame.

Indeed, looted funds and funds from doubtful and questionable sources are now channeled to land-grabbing and estate development.

Sadly, the deliberate compromise of the legal and security system, indeed, encouraged this unwritten policy, while violent crimes have trailed events in the land and property sector.
