    Ndigbo expresses gratitude to host communities for prevailing in a peaceful atmosphere.

    Download 6The Onyendu Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, High Chief Alloy Obi, has expressed gratitude to the good people of Oyo state for ensuring an enabling environment for peace and hospitality to prevail.

    Chief Obi, who is also the Balogun Ndigbo of Ibadanland, gave this appreciation on behalf of the Igbo community in Ibadan and Oyo state.

    ''I, on behalf of Ndibgo in Ibadan and Oyo state, express our gratitude to our host communities for facilitating good neighborliness, hospitality, peace, and a friendly environment. I also use this medium to wish the good people of Oyo State and all the Igbos a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead. I also pray for God to guide and protect all those who would be traveling to their respective villages for the festivities,'' Chief Obi stated.

    Chief Obi also congratulated Nze Fidelis Chukuwu on his emergence as the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.

    He urged Nze Chukwu to maintain the standards set by the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, saying, ''I know him to be very hardworking; he will ensure good leadership. And I believe he will maintain the standards set by the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu. I congratulate him and wish him a peaceful tenure.''
